William Aaron HOLLINGSWORTH

1. William was a victim of the Civil War...CSA


John "Jack" Price KUYKENDALL

1. "Jack" may have been born in Mississippi.

2. John Price Kuykendall was in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. He was a member of Coopers Brigade 5th Texas Partisans, and Company D 19th Texas Cavalry "Parson's Brigade".

3. Two affidavits from John's fellow soldiers stated that they saw him fall in battle a Prairie Grove.


Martha "Mattie" L. B. CRAWFORD

1. Martha applied for her widows benefits in 1925. There were two affidavits from John's fellow soldiers that they saw him fall in battle at Prairie Grove.

2. Martha and her 2nd husband had children, so, those other than William Richard may be his 1/2 sisters/brother.

3. She moved to Arkansas and when Mr. Walker died she moved in with her daughter.


John William KUYKENDALL

1. Alternate date of birth: 12 Dec 1796 in Shelby County, Kentucky.

2. John moved to Texas about 1848 and settled at Harmony Hill, Rusk County. This settlement was then called "Nip and Tuck" and was located on the "trace" or stage route of that time.

3. 1850 Census Rusk, Texas....Reel No. 315-316 Page No. 543....also 606 fr other posting.

4. He gave the first two acrews of land for the Harmony Hill Cemetery in 1852.

5. Occupation: Doctor, practicing the Thompsonian System

1. William & Mary probably took out marriage license 23 Aug 1860 in Newton County but actually married on the 24th in Rockdale County, Georgia by Rev. J. H. Carter...

Jimmy Clayton HAYES

1. Richard D. Jones reports the marriage was to JoAnn Paulsen [2nd wife], but this writer received the name of Lois Faye Duty [First Wife] from Loretta Gay in 2001. [Marriage license and announcement confirms Joann Carol Paulsen]

2. The wedding was held in the First Presbyterian Church of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, with Rev. Duff Canady officiating.

3. Jimmy & Joann moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico, in August 1961, where he taught school.

4. Jim taught school at Cameron College in Lawton for the 1965-66 term. Her had four years of teaching experiece and had taught in the Temple High School.

5. He & his wife were membes o the First Baptist Church in Lawton, Oklahoma.

6. Living at Konawa, Oklahoma, in 1992.


Billy Gene HAYES

Death Takes Infant Son of City Couple

Billy Gene Hayes, day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Hayes of Pauls Valley, died in Valley View hospital at Ada Thursday afternoon.
Committal services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Mt. Olivet cemetery with Rev. Hale Dixon officiating. Burial will be under direction of Stufflebean Funeral Home.
Survivors beside the parents include grandfather, W. M. Duty of Ada; grandmother, Mrs. Geneva McCary of Wynnewood; grandfather , F. C. Hays of Lindsay, and two great grandmothers, Mrs. Mae Hines of Pauls Valley and Mrs. Eva Hays of Lindsay.
