1. The name of Mary Alice Watson was written on Marriage Certificate...however,Truman Reed told Bobby Maddox on 9 Dec 1982 that she was actually a Watkins, but it appears more likely to to "Watson". Jim Cannon shows "Brom" and 21 Apr 1947 for death. Bobby Maddox suggests that maybe her maternal or paternal grandmother may have been a Brom. He further states that he has even seen it spelled as Brohme, thus Mary Brom "Brohme" Watson Maddox. Then, Ancestry.com reports: Mary Alice Broome

1. This marriage as reported by Evelyn "Crickett" Sanders is unproven....most sources report that Harriett Ann never married, but, had 2 children.

1. Evelyn Sanders & Janice Elnora Maddox Suggs seem to think Harriett is on the Cherokee Indian Roll..., but that is not proven. Maybe the John Roberts they say she married may have had Indian blood, also unproven.
2. Louise Maddox Blackmon reports that Harriett Ann Maddox never married...need further research since there were two sons. She further reports that her Aunt Mamie, sister to her Dad, went with her to Oakgrove Cemetery and confirmed that there were only two children that were listed on the Census.
