James Reubin BARTLETT

James Reuben grew up on the family farm near Jerusalem, Arkasnas. Hewent to school at Appleton and after completing his formal education,became a school teacher. While teaching school somewhere in that area,he met and married his wife, one of his students. James Reuben taughtschool in Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma, and also carried a rural mailroute out of Holdenville, Oklahoma. He went back to Jerusalem and ran ageneral merchandise store from 1920 to 1927. In 1928, the family movedto Okfuskee County, Oklahoma, where we lived on a farm for severalyears. He then moved to Okmulgee, Oklahoma until the death of he and hiswife

Fay Bartlett completed the 8th grade of school. Entered postal serviceJune 18, 1923. Retired July 20, 1963, after 40 years and 1 month ofservice.
Church: Church of Christ.
No military service.
Faye and his brother, Joe, moved to Oklahoma early in life to pursuetheir careers as postal clersk. They both married and raised theirfamilies there.


Gene C. BARTLETT

Educated in public schools in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Graduated fromChicago School of Medicine
May 25, 1963. Served his internship in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,beginning June 3, 1963. He is a
phycician in Oklahoma City.

Joe Travis BARTLETT

Grade school at Okmulgee, Oklahoma and graduated from high school inOklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Served 3 1/2 years as a technician in U. S. Army during WWII and washonorably discharged at the end of war.
Entered Oklahoma State University and studied Electrial engineering.Graduated after 4 years.
He works for Dow Chemical Co. (Texas Division).

Charles M BARTLETT

Grade school at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Graduated from Capitol HillHigh School. Received a B. S.
degree from University of Oklahoma as a Bio-chemist. He continued incollege for 2 more years receiving his Master's degree in Bio-chemistry.He served his military obligation in the Chemical Corps with rank ofCaptain.


Robert A BARTLETT

Educated in public schools in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Graduated fromCapitol Hill High School.
Entered military at age of 17 1/2 and served 4 years aboard the Air CraftCarrier Oriskany in South China
Seas with 7th fleet. Discharged April 22, 1966.


John Hammett REYNOLDS

John Hammett Reynolds, in his early life was a farmer and schoolteacher. After teaching school for thirteen years, became involved inpolitics, In 1912, he was elected County Treasurer of Conway County,Arkansas, serving fourteen years. He was admitted to the bar in 1920 andstarted practicing law. He was elected County Judge in 1922 and servingsix years and elected State Representative in 1932, serving for 2 years.He was elected City Attorney at Morrilton, Arkansas in 1936 and servedmany years in that capacity. After retiring from politics and practicedlaw until his death. John Hammett was an outstandidng citizen andChristian gentleman, well known and loved in Conway County, City ofMorrilton and State of Arkansas. His political party was Democrat andhis church of choice, Methodist.
Reynolds Elementary School in Morrilton is named after him.
