1. In 1800, Stepp was deeded 150 acres of land for "love and affection for my son" from his father Morris "III".

2. Later in the 1840's Stepp & Family of North Carolina moved to adjacent Fayette County, Alabama.

3. 1850 & 1860 Census of Fayette County.


Nancy PUTMAN

1. There is another source showing first name as Mary (?).


Dickerson ROBERTS

1. Dickerson & wife went to Rabun County, Georgia.


John B. FONDREN

1. Family lived in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama from about 1834 to 1837, then went to Chickasaw County, Mississippi in 1850's.

2. They later moved to Dallas County, Texas...

3. Some of the family later moved to Parker County, Texas.


Josiah ROBERTS "Sr"

1. The name may possibly be Joseph, making Josiah "Jr" incorrect, or Josiah Joseph Roberts.

2. It appears he and Mary left Rutherford County, North Carolina for Alabama in the early 1830's.

3. There are at least two land purchases in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, in 1833 & 1834...

1. This could very well be the Mary Lindsay that we are showing as third wife of Morris Jr. or III.

1. Jackson lived in Fayette County, Alabama for fifty years...

2. After Hardy died she went to Wright County, Missouri.
