5. OBITUARY --- Forrest Clayton Hayes
Funeral services for Forrest Clayton Hayes, resident of Konawa, Okla. for the past several years, were held Wednesday, Nov. 23, 1977 in the Konawa First Baptist church. Officiating was Rev. Bill Cannon, Midwest City, assisted by Rev. James Evans, Konawa.
He was born July 29, 1904 near Stratford, Indian Territory to the late Rev. H. and Era Hayes. He died Nov. 21, 1977 at the Baptist Medical Center after an extended illness at the age of 73 years. He became a Christian many years ago and at the time of his death was a member of the Vamoosa Baptist church, east of Konawa.
He is survived by two sons, Billy Eugene, West Covina, Calif. and Jimmy Clayton, Konawa; three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Webb and Mrs. Jo Zinn, both of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Pearl McCoy, Lawton; eight grandchildren; also the children's mother, Mrs. Geneva McCray, Wynnewood. He was preceeded in death by a son in 1932, a grandson in 1959, one sister and three brothers.
Interment was in the Pauls Valley cemetery under direction of the Pickard Funeral Home, Konawa. Pallbearers were L. L. Shaw, Mike Cotnaer, Charles Fidler, Ben Ragland, John Duck and Everett W. Gregory.
Survivors in the Lindsay area include an aunt, Mrs. Myrtle Shore, a sister-in-law, Josephine Hayes, a nephew, Joseph D. Gay and cousins, Zealyer Buzbee, Ruby Williams, Tina Peeler and Jesse and Lee Hayes.

Funeral services for Roy Jackson Hayes, 60, were held Tuesday afternoon in the Chapel of the Brown-Boydson Funeral
Home in Lindsay.Rev. B. T. Neal officiated at the services. Interment was at the Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Brown-
Boydston.Hayes was born on May 16, 1909, in Stratford and had been a resident of Lindsay for the last 39 years.
He died Sunday in the Veterans Hospital at Sulphur.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Josephine Hayes, of the home; two brothers, Ernest of Oklahoma City and Forrest of
Konaswa; and three sisters, Mrs. Mabel Webb of Elk City, Mrs. Jo Zinn of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Pearl McCoy of
Lawton.
