Peyton Glenn Fullingim, 50, of Lubbock passed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, June 13, 2005 at his residence.
Peyton was born July 20, 1954 in Austin. In Jan. 1956, Peyton moved with his family to Lubbock. He attended Lubbock public schools and graduated from Monterey High School in 1972. He attended Texas Tech University. In 1997, Peyton was ordained as a minister of the gospel. He was pastor at Jesus Place Church, a respected memeber of numerous city orgainizations promoting the Good News of Jesus Christ, serving at community programs such as Pray Lubbock, Lubbock County Youth Detention Center, local nursing homes and performing faith based entertainment at many community and private settings, where the Lord called him to serve. Peyton married Amber Lovette on July 20, 1987 in Lubbock.
He is survived by his loving wife, Amber and many fellow believers of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
His parents, J. Worth and Dennis L. Fullingim and his beloved dogs and cats, that gave him so much pleasure, also survive him.
Celebration services for Pastor Peyton will be a 4 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2005 at Franklin-Bartley Chapel, 444 S. Loop 289, with the Rev. Mike Schafer of Aldersgate United Methodist Church officiating. Peyton will be laid to rest follwing the service in Lorenzo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m. this evening at Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
