Dick Mason wrote of John's bible being in the possession of Jennie Pitman Orr,
granddaughter of John's younges son, David Kyle Pitman.David died on a Monday morning at 8 o'clock at his son, Dr. John Pitman's home.
He left us a rich heritage, a most Christian example. May God help us, his
children and grandchildren ever to keep his example before us and so live as
to meet him in Heaven. R.H.P.

2. A Christoper Irvine born in 1739 and died 20 May 1811 is also shown as a son of Captain Christopher Irvine and Lydia Callaway. Seems like the same person to me unless we are showing the birth and death the same for two different individuals.
