1. Jacob lived in Tattnall County, Georgia.
2. Jacob & Lydia were founding members of the Beech Branch Baptist Church in Sardis, Burke County, Georgia in 1803.
3. Based on a letter dismissing them from the church in Sardis, they left Georgia in 1817 and reappeared in Dallas County, Alabama in 1819 based on land grants awared to Jacob.
4. He is also in the 1820 Dallas County Census.
5. The family left Dallas County, Alabama after Jacob's death and moved to Clark County, Mississippi. Hosea and John stayed in Mississippi, but Joshua and eventtually Stepehn moved on to Texas. Joshua and family arrived in Anderson County, Texas in 1847 and later settled in Grapeland, Houston County, Texas where the family stayed.
