1. OBITUARY Earl R. McMinn
Earl R. McMinn, 80, Indianapolis, died at 5:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 1990, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
He was born Feb. 10, 1910 in Peru to C.? (Hugh) and Clara R. Owens McMinn. On Jan. 23, 1935, he married Edith M. "Deedy" Melson. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Barbara Moss of Kokomo; one sister, Edna Griggs of Prescott, AZ; and two grandchildren. One son and two brothers are deceased.
A 1932 graduate of Purdue University, Mr. McMinn was a project engineer for 27 years for Allison's, a division of General Motos. He retired in 1970.
He was a member of the Ancient Landmarks Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and Murat Shrine, all of Indianapolis.
He was a member of the Roberts Park United Methodist Church, at the corner of Vermont and Delaware, Indianapolis, where services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24. The Rev. Robert Koeing officiated. Graveside services followed at 3 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru.

PERU --- Charles McMinn, 63, Peru native, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday while vacationing at Mesa, Arizona.
He was a resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the time of his death.
Born March 18, 1913, he was the son of Hugh and Clara Owens McMinn. He was married Oct. 5, 1940, to Lois Kunkle, who survives.
An engineeer for the Square D Company, he is also survived by his mother of Phoenix, Arizona; a son, Mark, Mesa, Arizona; a daughter, Mrs. Janet Vischer, Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, Earl of Indianapolis, and Howard of LaPorte; a sister, Mrs. Edna Griggs, Phoenix, Arizona; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, the Rev. Don Eskew officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

2. OBITUARY Kenneth G. McMinn, 59
Kenneth G. McMinn, 59, of Edenburg Road, died Friday, Feb. 28, 1997, at Park Ridge Hospital after an extended illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County and was a son of Polly McMahan McMinn of Hendersonville and the late Jessie Albert McMinn. He was a sales representative with Waldensian Bakeries, Inc. before retiring in 1993 after 20 year of service. He was a graduate of Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute with a degree in music and Christian education. He was a member and Minister of Music at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Norman McMinn.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Norma J. McMinn; two daughters and their husbands, Jill J. and Bryan Raines and Gina K. and Tom Raines, all of Arden; four brothers, Jerry McMinn of Colorado Springs, Colo., Terry McMinn of Arden, Richard McMinn of Tuxedo, and Michael McMinn of Henderonville; five sisters, Edith Middleton, Noma Lee Taylor, Dorothy Henderson, Elena Williams, all of Hendersonville, and Lois Tucker of Bryon, Ga.; six grandchildren, Krystal, Kayce, Nathan, Kenny, and Ethan Raines, and Ryan Gonce; a foster child, George Moore of Hendersonville; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. The Revs. William Willingham, Dr. Alex Booth, and Dean Elliot will officiate. Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors and at other times at the home on Edenburg Road.

Norma M. McMinn, 67
Norma Middleton McMinn, 67, of Hendersonville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at her home.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, a daughter of the late A. P. Middleton and Bertha Lanning Middleton. She was the wife of Kenneth McMinn, who died in 1997. She owned and operated Norma's Beauty Shop. She played the piano at Mount Moriah Baptist Church for 18 years. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, James Moore; a brother, Kenneth Middleton; and a sister, Mary Medd. She was a member of Balfour Baptist Church
She is survived by two daughters, Jill M. Raines and her husband, Bryan, of Hendersonville and Jina K. Kirby and her husband, Duke, of Charleston, S.C.; a foster son, George W. Moore and his fiancee, Diane, of Jacksonville, N. C.; nine grandchildren, Krystal, Kayce and Nathan Raines, Ryan Gonce, Kenny and Ethan Raines, Jacob Kirby and Tina and Jessica Moore; and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Balfour Baptist Church. The Revs. Joe Mullins and Bill Willingham will officate. Burial will follow in Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.. at the church, and at other times will be at the residence, 217 Edenburg St. Memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, P.
