1. In Virginia Scribner Rowlands book, Peter Noe and his Noe/Noey/Noah Descendants she uses "Jr"..... how does that fit?


James C. NOE

1. James enlisted in the CSA on 3 Oct 1862 in Company "G" 61st TN Mtd. Inf.

2. On the 1880 Census for Hamblen County, Tennessee James and Sarah have a nephew, Pleasant Anderson age 6 living with the. They had no children of their own.

3. In his Will of 15 Jul 1890 he named his brothers and sister as his heirs.


Sarah A. ANDERSON

1. An item appearing in the Morristown Gazett, 9 Apr 1884, newspaper stated that Mrs. Noe, wife of J. C. Noe of Noe's Ferry, had committed suicide on Saturday. It was believed that continued ill health was the cause.

1. John was a blacksmith.


David Maben NOE

1. David left a Will in Hamblen County dated 22 Jan 1916 that left all to his wife.


Cornelius Rupe MILLER "Sr"

1. The World War I Registgration Card Certificate of Pauls Valley, Garvin County, Oklahoma, states that Cornelius was medium height, medium build, blue eyes & dark hair.

2. Occupation: Self-employed barber

3. Middle name may have been "Ruke", however, the 1880 Menard County, Illinois Census list his name as Rourke.


Oma Ethel HAYES

1. Oma had Lena or Lila out-of-wedlock and never married the father. [Unknown to this writer]

2. In the 1910 Garvin County, Oklahoma census the following is found:
Joe Globe, age 30 born Mo.
wife: Ethel
Step-daugherts: Lena Burton 1898-1899 [Note: Sam Burton must have adopted her]
Ola Burton born 1905

3. In the 1930 census Oma E. Miller states her age at first marriage was either 12 or 13. There was only a son present in the houshold...Cornelius, Jr. b. 1929.


Hopkins CARSON

1. Hopkins was a farmer in Jefferson County, Tennessee.


Harvey Lee PURKEYPILE

1. Harvey was a school teacher at Frys School.
