1. General Notes: Corn, George H. - Private Inf. Battn., Smith's Legion, Ga. Vols. June 17 1862. Transferred to Co., F 65th Regt. Ga. Inf. Mar 1863. Took oath of allegiance to U. S. Govt. Mr 17, 1864. [He said he could never fight against a government his grandfather helped to create.

2. Per an obit foun f for Emily, Goerge was a faithful minister of the gospel in Goddard, KS when she died.

Mary Ann CORN

2. Mary Corn Taylor divorced her husband James Taylor.

3. OBIT: She invented a fuel efficient stove and won a gold medal, issued by the US Patent Office of Washington DC in 1908 for the most remarkable invention ever conceived by a woman in the United States. She is survived by 2 sons and 3 daughters.
Investors gave her a million dollars to start manufacture of the stove in Portland, Oregon. She also invented a new style corset, was an artist, a writer, a seamstress and a great cook.
