1. OBITUARY Illene Capps, 60

Illene "Mamaw" Capps, 60 of Hendersonville died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House following a short illness.
The native and lifelong resident of Henderson County was a daughter of the late Carl and Mona Clingenpeel. She was employed by Kimberly-Clark for a number of years. She was also co-owner of Capps Garbage Service for 16 years.
She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and worked in the nursery department for many years. An infant son, William Carlton Capps, and a brother, J. C. Clingenpeel, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, William Capps; two daughters, Dee Blackwell and her husband, Jeff, of Hendersonville and Waynette Lanning and her husband, Lou, of Hendersonville; three grandchildren, Jonnie, Jeremy, and Holly Blackwell of Hendersonville; three sisters, Dorothy Barnwell, Betty Bishop and Louise Robinson, all of Hendersonville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shepherds Church Street Chapel with the Rev. Ron Fousek officiating. Interment will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
