HALE CENTER - Graveside services for Mable McAlexander, 91, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Center Plains Cemetery in Cotton Center with Dr. Gene Meacham director of the Caprock-Plains Baptist Area in Plainview, officiating.
Arrangements are by Freeman-Abell Funeral Home of Hale Center.
Mrs. McAlexander died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2001, at Integrated Health Systems Heritage Home of Plainview.
She was born Aug. 20, 1910, in Hale County.
She graduated from Hale Center High School in 1929 then attended Lippert's Business College in Plainview.
She married Walter Lee McAlexander on May 26, 1941, In Greenwood, Louisiana. He died in 1993.
Survivors include a son, Walt McAlexander of Lubbock; two sisters, Elaine Lawhon of San Angelo and Lorraine Rape of Amarillo; a brtoher, Allman Lee "Mutt" McMinn of Lubbock; two grandchildren, Karen Holdampf of Salado and Chris Cross of Abingdon, Va. and four great-grandchildren, Katherine, Matthew, Megan Holdampf and Will Cross. A brother, R. E. "Bob" Mcminn died in 1990.
