1. John Hendricks was a widower in 1702 with two children, Tobias and John.
2. In April of 1704 John married Rebeckah Groesbeck widow of Arthur Wells Sr. The marriage is recorded in Quakerr histories; it occurred at a Quaker Monthly meeting in Bensalem, Bucks, Maryland. The two sons of Rebeckah and Arthur Wells were in attendance: Thomas Wells and Arthur Wells, Jr. Also in attendance were the parents of the groom, Albertus Hendricks and the father of the bride, Jacob Classen Groesbeck, the sister of the bride Leah Groesbeck Van Sandt.
