1. Sarah Ruth was 5 years old when her family moved to Buffalo, Harper County, Oklahoma, where she grew up.
2. She taught 1st through 8th grades after graduating from Teacher's College, but said she didn't like it.
3. She then went to work at her father's bank and soon met a handome cashier at the "other" bank named Francis Edward Walker. Francis Edward and Ruth worked at a number of different jobs during the depression when jobs were hard to come by.
4. In 1933, Ruth moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where she worked in the insurance business for the rest of her working years.
5. Sarah lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at time of her father's death.
6. Sarah died in 1980 from an aneurysm at age 84.
