1. Martha applied for her widows benefits in 1925. There were two affidavits from John's fellow soldiers that they saw him fall in battle at Prairie Grove.
2. Martha and her 2nd husband had children, so, those other than William Richard may be his 1/2 sisters/brother.
3. She moved to Arkansas and when Mr. Walker died she moved in with her daughter.
1. John H. Kuykendall was taken by Indians at the log school house of Miss Ann Whitney in Hamilton County, Texas.
2. It is of impression that John waqs reunited with his family later.
