1. On the 1851 Census of Ontario, there is a Hiram Winters listed as living in Cornwall. He was aged 33 at the time. He is living with a Sophia Winters (aged 57), Sarah (aged 26), Daniel (aged 24), and Eliza (age 19). There is no mention of his wife or his daughter Hannah (who would have been about 12 at the time). On the 1881 Census, Hiram Winters is listed as living with his wife, Elizabeth, and thier son, Daniel (aged 24) in Etobicoke where he is listed as of Irish heritage, a Baptist by religion and a farmer by trade. Hannah, his daughter, is listed separately with her husband Samuel. This material receieved from Cynthia Hale, great-great-granddaughter.
1. Elizabeth & Hiram were married in the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada and the register states that they were both of Etobicoke at he time of the marriage.

1. Mr. Stirman was a preacher....they had no kids.
1. The 1870 Census shows C. L. Stirman age 26, TN in Kaufman County, Texas, with V. T. Stirman, so she most likely did not die on 20 Sep 1862/1863.
