1. Judy Ballard reports that John Reece lived in Pickens County South Carolina, almost on the NC & SC line.
2. John was in the Civil War and died from illness.
3. His wife lost her mind and ied in the 1860's as well.
4. Their children were raised by Thomas Erastus and Nancy Trotter Reece.
1. Dennis (kirk-kin-doll) reports: James C. Kuykendall was born in Vincennes, Knox, Indiana. At the start of the Civil War, he enlisted in the Confederate Army and was captured and signed an Amestry card. Later, he joined the Union Army. A few weeks ago I received his personal papers from the National Archives. On one of the papers he had to answer questions about his personal life when he filed for a pension. 18 Dec 1830 was the courrect birrthdate. He died 16 Dec 1907.
1. It is reported that James C. Kuykendall was one of the 1st Justices in Crawford County, Arkansas.
