1, Marcia reports that her mom, Oleda, and her dad, Lewis, had a country western group which played locally for nearly 10 years and finally slowed down about 4 years ago. Geoff is the big singer of the bunch and has moved to Texas.


Oleda Jane BYRD

1. Oleda graduated in 1956 at County Line High (Sebastian/Logan), just 20 miles east of Camp Chaffee, (Now Fort Chaffee) Arkansas.

1. It is believed that there were other childen born in this family and were placed in homes at young ages.

1. Robert died of Black Tongue in the Civil War at Kerville, Kerr, Texas.

2. There is a CSA marker on the grave at Mt. View Cemetery, Kerrville, Kerr, Texas.


Martin Lee MESSICK

1. Martin & Martha owned a little country store on Hiway 23 South (about 8 miles North of Booneville), probably in Sebastian County.

2. He is buried next to his third wife Iona.

1. Zula & Harvey were married in Res. by F. Wilson Neal.
