1. Genealogist, Jonathan B. Butcher, on Aug 1982, gives us information that on 27 Apr 1754 James Villars Polloxfin was appointed to administer the estate of John Jones.
2. John, Jr. later used John Jones, Sr. He died early 1754 intestate. On 27 Apr 1754 James Villars Polloxfin was appointed to administer the estate of John(3).
3. He may have been Lieut. John, living on land belonging to his father, John(2), on Matacomack Swamp. He was to obtain half of the home plantation by his father's will, made 6 Aug 1734, but not proven until 18 Oct 1744.
4. By an important deed of 1743 he bought land adjacent to his father:(A:218). After the death of his father in 1744 John(3) used the name of John Sr.
5. He made a deed of gift to his own son, John(4), 18 Jan 1749: (C#2:205)
