2. From the Memories by Doris (Taylor) Carnes: "And now as an adult, one of the most peaceful scenes to me is still the view of the fog rising from the valley below as you stand in the graveyard. I consider it a most treasured experience to have been able to grow up in Locust Grove Baptist Church......to have been that close to heaven in the little church on the mountain".

1. In Memory of Larry Dean McMinn by: his parents Ralph and Cora McMinn
Larry was taught and loved by the people in the church. He had some very special friends that would visit them often on Sunday afternoons. Sometimes he would be at Paul & Pauline Clingenpeel's home. Aunt Bertha Stepp with Claude and Alma and others. As he grew older Bill and Judy Holl. Gerald and Ann Watkins were very special friends to him.
Karen was in the hospitl often so Larry and Tonya were cared for by family and friends. Roy and Hazel Duncan were our children's "other" parents. We would trade baby sitting. The church was always there for us.
Rev. Walter Taylor came to Locust Grove as pastor. He had a lovely wife Doris, a son Tommy, two daughters, Paula Jean and Donna. The children all became friends and in time Larry and Paula Jean were married in Locust Grove Church, "The new church house". They had three children, Brian Paul, Hollie Ray and Andrea Taylor.
They moved out of the church to Mud Creek.
Larry died August 8, 1997. His family is still growing in the love of God and family.
Locust Grove planted the Love of God and kept Larry in prayer and love.
Thank you.
1. Paula was "the preacher's daughter".
