1. Abraham served as a Captain in the Revolutionary War.

2. He received injuries in 1763 from an Indian skirmish for which he petitioned for expenses.

3. Abraham's Will written 20 Feb 1777 was proven 12 Jan 1779 and recorded in Hampshire County, West Virginia.


Maritje Mary WESTPHAEL

1. It is likely that this Maritje Mary Westphael was widow of Cornelius and when he died she married his brother Matthew.

2. It was after Matthew died, that his widow Mary, married Martin Armstrong in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.

3. James D. Kuykendall gives the name of this spouse as Marijte (Mary) Kool.

1. James had three land Grants: 1860 - 380 Acres, 1861 - 120 Acres, 1876 - 80 Acres.

2. James may have been in the logging business, and moved on to Tennessee then to Kansas in 1880.

3. James R. McMinn's family is buried in Mountain Springs Cemetery on Chickalah Mountain, Yell County, Arkansas.

1. Jesse co-owned land with his brother James R. at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Family lore is that they donated part of this land for the McMinn Cemetery Plot. Tombsone inscriptions indicate that relatives were in this area in 1812.
