1. John Bailey Dixon Sliger died of pneumonia.

1. According to some information from some the family...Mary Andes left Tennesse, the area of Baxter, and returned to Athens, Tennessee, where she is buried.


Vance Dekaub BURGESS

1. Tommy A. Roberts, 9575 Roberts Road, Silver Point, TN 38582, sends info to Avana Irene Hobbs that the spelling is Vance Dekaub Burgess instead of "De Cab" as we had it.


Samual Loranzo SLIGER "Sr"

1. Earl L. Jones has known this family since about age 5 (1939).

2. Sam worked at Wickham Packing Plant for a number of years before going to work for Reeves Packing Plant.


Boda Pauline JARED

1. Boda came to the Ada, Oklahoma, area around 1913 (age 1) with her parents from Boma, Tennessee.

2. When she and Sam married they lived near Allen, Oklahoma for a while.

3. Lovelady News...taken from the Wednesday January 1, 1930, edition of the Ada Weekly News: Boda Jared Spent Saturday night and Sunday in Ada visiting friends.

4. They moved out North of Byng and this writer was in the home several times for visits..

5. Obituary: Mrs. Boda Sliver - Services Held

Funeral services for Mrs. Boda Pauline Sliger, 67, of Ada were held June 17 in th eCriswell Funeral Home Chape. Burial was in Rosedale Cemetery. Mrs. Sliger died June 14 at her home.
She was born June 29 1912 at Boma, Tennessee to T. J. and Maud Roberts Jared and came to this area in 1913. She and Sam Sliger married in November 1931 and they lived near Allen for a time. She was a member of th eChurch of God of Prophecy, Ada.
Survivors include her husband, Sam, of the home; two daughters and one son; two sisters, Bonnie Williams, Ada, and Betty McKenzie, Tulsa; four brothers, Rev. Howard Jared, Dewey, Ralph Jared, Tulsa, T. J. Jared, Jr., Coweta, and Clyde Jared, Salem, Oregon; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
