2. In Memory of Mrs. Arcie Bowman
The sad news of the death of Mrs. Arcie Bowman at Weleetka was a shock to her many friends and relatives at this place. From some unknown cause a paper on the floor of the car caught fire and she thinking the car on fire jumped out and fell on her herad causing head and body injuries. This was about 5 o'clock Saturday evening, June 9, and death come at 10 o'clock Sunday morning.
Mrs. Bowman will be remembered as Arcie Hayes, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Hayes. They lived around Ada for many years but for the last few yers have made their home near Weleetka, Archie having married there.
We want to extend our heartfeld sympathy to all the bereaved one. We know our loss is heaven's gain. Arcie had lived a good, true Christian life the last 3 years. On the 10th day of June,
The 6th month of the year,
God called and took away
The one we loved so dear. She is gone but not forgotten,
Never will her memory fade;
Sweetest thoughts will ever linger
Around the grave where she is laid.Yes, we know a precious blossom
That we tended with such care,
Has been transplanted to heaven
To bloom so sweetly there. After all our trials are over
And we've received the gift of His Grace,
When we're all anchored on that shore,
We shall again see Arcie's face.Oh, we know that we shall miss her
Here in this world below,
But we have a chance to greet her
For the Bible tells us so.After all the pain and anguish,
After all the trials and care,
We'll be welcomed home to heaven
To be with Arcie there.O, the cross He gave may be heavy
But it never outwieghs His Grace
Oh, how happy we'll be over yonder
When again we see Archie's face.-------Written by a friend Etta Hightower
