Arthur Willis "Oss" JONES

1.  Uncle Oss was a very quiet and kind man.

2.  He provided for his family the best way he knew how and was a great fellow to be around....especially nephews, nieces, neighborhood friends, and other relatives.

3.  He became a member of the Church of God of Prophecy late in life.

4.  I attended his funeral that was held at the Church of God of Prophecy @ Coweta on March 31, 1988.  The officiating Ministers were Rev. Jack Pruitt & Rev. T. J. Jared, Jr.


Syble Faye ISAACS

1.  Aunt Syble and Aunt Jewel had the same father, but, different mothers.


Sgt. Robert Lee JONES

1.  Robert graduated from Bebee Elementary School, 19 May 1938.

2.  He won letters in Basketball & Baseball @ Vanoss in 1939-1940.

3.  Pvt Robert L Jones  was in U.S. Army SN38564754, Co "A" 52nd E. T. Bn. E.R.T.C. Camp Abbot, Oregon, 4th Platoon. Served in WW II in Germany.

4.  He got Honorable Discharge 28 Nov 1945 at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas, from Company "C" 1277th Engineers Combat Battalion with Rank of SGT.

5.  His children all still live in Odessa, Texas, and we cousins have met and shared some of the family history.


Aletha

1.  Earl L. Jones knew Aletha when she and Robert got married...She was a very pretty lady.

Betty Jane CLARK

1.  Betty had a son Donald from a previous marriage to William D. Sheppard

2.  Betty filed for divorce from Robert Jones on the 28 Feb 1958 (File No l5,042) in District Court of Odessa, Ector County, Texas.  That was about the last year that I ever saw Betty....by: Earl L.  Jones.

3.   Her new Social Security No. was for Betty Jane Smith No. 444 26 0693.

Ted JONES

1.  Ted was very quiet...but had a hearty laugh.  

2.  His family lived at 1019 North Ash, Ada, Oklahoma in 1965.  He was a typical "Jones" who liked to fish and hunt.

3.  He was a member of The Church of Christ.

4.  He died while fishing at Konowa Lake...may have had a heart attack and drowned.  

5.  He lived at 730 West Second at time of his death.


Clemmie Maurice BOWERMAN

1.  Maurice lived  @ Elmore City, Oklahoma.

2.  She retired from Remington Arms Corporation after 20 years.

3.  Long time member of The Church of Christ.

4.  Hobbie:  Gardening, Fishing, & Crocheting.


Estelle Ray "Dude" HOOD

1.  Dude was known by this writer and would stop & visit the family in the one or two hundred block of West 7th on the way to my Grandparets house @ 711 West 7th to pick up eggs that Aunt Gracie would leave to sell.

2.  Dude was an alcoholic...


Ola Mae PALMER

1.  Ola Mae was in the Jan Francis Nursing Home in Ada, Oklahoma when she died.

2.  She was buried in Rosedale Cemetery at Ada, Pontotoc, Oklahoma.


Imogene HOOD

1.  Name could be Ima Jean.


Carl DURAM

1.  Carl Duram & Imogene probably never married.
